Frank A. Shively
BLOOMFIELD. Frank A. Shively, 88 of Bloomfield died October 8, 2010 at his home. He was born March 2, 1922 in Coatsville, Missouri to Lou and Emma Ryals Shively. He married Vera Evelyn Guinn December 25, 1948 in Lancaster, Missouri. She preceded him in death May 14, 2010. He served in the United States Navy in World War II. Frank was a shop foreman for Citizens Mutual Telephone, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the VFW in Bloomfield and was inducted into the Bloomfield Bowling Association Hall of Fame.
He is survived by 2 sons Stan (Becky) Shively and Merle (Barbara) Shively all of Bloomfield; 4 grandsons Stewart, Steve and Scott Shively and Brian Graeve; 7 great grandchildren; 2 sisters Lorene Adams of Kirksville, Missouri and Kay Myers of Rosemont, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; 2 brothers Dale and Olen Shively and a sister Vivian Ketchum.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Tuesday October 12, 2010 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Kevin Gingerich officiating. Burial will be in the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield, Iowa. Visitation will begin after 9 am Monday with the family present from 6-8 pm. A memorial has been established to the Drakesville United Methodist Church.
