Paul St Clair

Paul Milton St Clair, 73, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on July 4, 2022 at his home surrounded by family. He was born on November 19, 1948 in Keokuk, Iowa to DeWayne E. and Reta Fae Kite St Clair. Paul graduated from Harmony High School in Bonaparte, Iowa in 1967. He then attended Northeast Missouri State in Kirksville, Missouri, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Education. On May 24, 1975, he married Nancy Carr in Davis County, Iowa. The couple lived in Bloomfield and raised two children; Wesley and Leah. Paul taught math for Cardinal Schools in Eldon for over 32 years and also coached girls basketball, girls track, and football for many years. He was an avid golfer, fisherman, and took many fishing trips to Branson with special friends. Paul also enjoyed deer hunting, reading, listening to music, and working his garden that was full of cone flowers, tomatoes, and several other types of produce. Paul loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of the Bloomfield Country Club and a huge fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. Paul will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; son, Wesley (Crystal) St Clair of Longmont, Colorado; daughter, Leah St Clair of Dallas Center, Iowa; four grandchildren, Sam and Ella St Clair, Bailey and Joe Barker; brother, Mark St Clair of Hannibal, Missouri; two brothers-in-law, Tim (Heidi) Brown of Burlington, Iowa, Don Carr of Rockaway Beach, Missouri; sister-in-law, Nancy St Clair of Croton, Iowa; former son-in-law, Michael Barker of Panora, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Eva Brown; brother, Wayne St Clair; sister-in-law, Mary Ann St Clair; and brother-in-law, Clyde Carr Jr. Visitation for Paul will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with the family present to greet friends from 5-7:00 p.m. A celebration of life will be held at the Bloomfield Country Club on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 2-5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established to the Bloomfield Country Club, Davis County Fine Arts Council, Friends of the Bloomfield Public Library, and Hospice of Wapello and Davis Counties.
