Arthur Dwight Blasi

January 29, 1929 - December 7, 2019

Arthur Dwight Blasi, 90, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on December 7, 2019 at the Bloomfield Care Center. He was born January 29, 1929 in Davis County, Iowa to Arthur Edward and Lucille Ethel Augspurger Blasi. He married Alma Jean Merryman on October 16, 1948 at the Pulaski Mennonite Church. She passed away on December 3, 2019. Dwight was a farmer, drove a school bus, and sold McCubbin seed beans and Super Crost seed corn. He was also a real estate broker and sold lots of farms in Davis County over the years. He served on the Farm Bureau, Farm Service, and Davis County School Board. He was an active member of the Pulaski Mennonite Church and volunteered for the Pulaski Corn Show. In his free time, Dwight enjoyed pheasant hunting with friends and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by two sons, Kevin (Sharon) Blasi of Bloomfield, Iowa, Kendel (Karie) Blasi of Claremore, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Kim (John) Byrd, Kari (Bob) Jolley, Kourtney Blasi, Klint (Allison) Blasi; and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Kyle Blasi; daughter-in-law, Linda Blasi; great-grandson, Graham Blasi; and two brothers, Robert and Jerald Blasi. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019 at the Pulaski Mennonite Church with Pastor Darrell Zook officiating. Burial will be at the Pulaski Cemetery. Visitation with family present to greet friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A memorial has been established to the Pulaski Mennonite Church.
