Mary Wiegand

Mary Myrl Wiegand, 78, of Drakesville, Iowa passed away on Monday, April 27, 2020 at the Bloomfield Care Center. She was born July 20, 1941 in Peoria, Illinois to Alvin and Veva Wright Domnick. She married David Wiegand on February 24, 1963 in Morton, Illinois. She was a member of the Bloomfield Apostolic Christian Church and she enjoyed doing things with her church family. She also enjoyed gardening and hand work, especially quilting. Her family and church family meant a lot to her. She is survived by her husband, David; four sons, Daryl (Christy) Wiegand of Drakesville, Doug Wiegand of Shawnee, Kansas, Dan (Traci) Wiegand of Bloomfield, Darren (Amy) Wiegand of Hartland, Minnesota; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three siblings, John (Jan) Domnick of Coralville, Iowa, Jim (Diane) Domnick of Meadville, Pennsylvania, Ann (Doug) Aman of Sebring, Florida; sister-in-law, Linda Domnick of Rochester, Minnesota; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Fred Domnick. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2020 at the Bloomfield Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery with ministers of the church officiating. Rolling visitation (Social distancing guidelines will be followed) at the Bloomfield Apostolic Christian Church will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday morning. Due to Covid-19, the family requests no flowers and is encouraging donations to either the Davis County Old Soldiers and Settlers Reunion or to the Sunday school classes at her church.
