V. Geraldine Arnold, 93, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on July 16, 2022 at the Bloomfield Care Center. She was born on May 30, 1929 in Bloomfield to Clarence Alfonso and Naomi LaRue Yates Rupe. She graduated from Bloomfield High School. Geraldine married Floyd Arnold on June 26, 1946 in Bloomfield. Floyd passed away on May 22, 1994. Geraldine was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and crocheting. She will be missed by her family and friends. She is survived by three children, Jerry Arnold, Terry (Maggie) Arnold, Cathy (Greg) Stevens all of Bloomfield; seven grandchildren, Raquel (Tim) LaRue of Milton, Iowa, Jeremy (Kandi) Arnold of Bloomfield, Shania (Chris) Bachman of Moulton, Iowa, Kerry Arnold of Memphis, Missouri, Nathan Arnold of Bloomfield, Celeste (Miguel) Ontiveros of Longview, Texas, Samantha (Lance) Langstraat of Bloomfield; 18 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; three honorary granddaughters, McKenzie Marsh of Ottumwa, Shannon Hendricks of Bloomfield, Avery Veatch of Bloomfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; great-granddaughter, Carly Arnold; seven siblings, Wannetta Brunk, Aleda Fleming, Archie Rupe, Ronald Rupe, Arthur Rupe, Janet Rupe, Richard Rupe; and a daughter-in-law, Brenda Arnold. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield with Pastor Matt Froah officiating. No visitation is planned. A memorial has been established to the Bloomfield Avenue of Flags.
