Larry Lough Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Larry Stephen Lough, 66, of Oskaloosa, Iowa and former resident of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on Friday, May 18, 2018 at the Mahaska County Care Facility where he has resided the past eight years. He was born on April 9, 1952 to John and Lorraine (Helmick) Lough in Bloomfield, Iowa. He attended Davis County Community Schools and graduated with the Class of 1970. Following high school, Larry graduated from Indian Hills Community College in culinary arts. He worked at Ray’s Recreation, Boone Motors and other jobs in the Bloomfield area. He enjoyed spending time at the Isaac Walton League, fishing, cooking, making crafts and puzzles. He was also an avid sports fan, following the St. Louis Cardinals, Iowa Hawkeyes and NASCAR. Larry loved his family and extended family always keeping up with his nieces and nephews and their families. He was friendly to everyone and enjoyed people. Larry is survived by his sister, Linda Prevo of Ottumwa; two brothers, Ken Lough and his wife Maureen of Marion, Iowa, Jim Lough and his wife Vicki of Bloomfield, Iowa; and his nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Jack Prevo. A celebration of life gathering with family present to greet friends will be from 10-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield. Burial of the cremated remains will be at a later date at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. A memorial has been established to his family.
