Linda Woods

Linda Jeanne Woods, 78, joined her heavenly father on March 10, 2023. She was born September 6, 1944 in Knoxville, Iowa to Ernie and Edna (Fry) Moses. Linda married Frosty Woods on April 17, 1971, and not long after they moved their family to Pulaski, Iowa. Linda quickly adapted to the small town and soon had her own in-home day care in which she helped to raise many of the children in town as her own. Soon Linda was taking orders and decorating cakes for all the events in and around Pulaski. She was actively involved in the community, teaching Sunday School, hosting Mother’s Club and volunteering every year at the Pulaski Corn Show, where you could often find her manning the popcorn stand chatting with anyone and everyone. Linda loved when the family gathered at her home. You could often find her in the kitchen cooking the most requested favorite dishes for the growing family or cheerfully encouraging the sarcastic banter of her sons and watching her grandchildren play croquet and make the rules up as they go. Linda is survived by her husband, Frosty; six sons, David (Loretta) Asher of Bishopville, SC, Jimmy (Christi) Asher of Milton, IA, Ernie (Tracy) Asher of Wilber, NE, Mike Asher of Bonaparte, IA, Joel (Tammie) Woods of Cantril, IA and Trenton (Misty) Woods of Ottumwa, IA; two sisters, Marjorie Tucker of Oskaloosa, IA and Deb Devries of Pella, IA; brother, Richard (Ann) Gott of Texas; two sisters-in-law Joyce Moses of Oskaloosa, IA, Mary Gott of Beacon, Iowa; sixteen grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren with two more on the way. Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Ernie and Edna (Fry) Moses; brothers, Phillip, Terry, Raymond and Ernest; sisters, Evelyn Kay and Martha. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at the Wagler Funeral Home, 304 W. Jefferson Street, Bloomfield. Pastor Kevin Mote will officiate. Interment will be held at Pulaski Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday with the family present to greet friends from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials may be made to the family with charity to be determined at a later date.
