Lois Lynch

Lois Marie Lynch, 87, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on June 11, 2023 at the Bloomfield Care Center. She was born on October 18, 1935 in Albia, Iowa to Clinton and Elsie Gardner Albertson. She graduated from Moravia High School in 1952. On June 23, 1956 she married George Stuart Lynch in Blakesburg, Iowa. They were married for 60 years before he passed away on June 30, 2016. Lois worked for Julian Campbell Realtors in Bloomfield as a secretary before getting her real estate license and eventually buying the business in 1998. The name was changed to Lynch Realty and Lois was the broker until 2015. She was an early supporter of Bloomfield Main Street, working on many projects and serving on the board. Lois and Stuart were members of the Dunnville Baptist Church for over 50 years. Aside from attending church together, they enjoyed going to school events for their children and grandchildren, they loved music and dancing with the Hayseeders Club, and traveling. Lois was also active in the Sewing Club and enjoyed tending to her garden. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda (Bill Sweatman) Thomas of Nashville, Tennessee; son, Rick (Susan) Lynch, of Bloomfield; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Lynch of Bloomfield; eight grandchildren, Amanda Thomas, Cassie (Ryan) Northup, Lincoln (Josie) Lynch, Lexis (Jared) Frymoyer, Lydia (Fred) Pratt, Lauren (Trevor) Leffler, Kelly Lynch and Alex Lynch; 11 great-grandchildren, Mercedes Northup, Mac Northup, Mayz Northup, Landon Lynch, Jerett Lynch, Jetson Lynch, Xander Martz, Jaime Gomez, Jackson Frymoyer, Journey Frymoyer, Princeton Pratt; great-great-granddaughter, Mireya Gomez; brothers-in-law, Larry (Nancy) Lynch, Dan (Rebecca) Stansberry; and sister-in-law, Sondra Albertson. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Rodney Lynch; brother, Robert Albertson; and sister, Darlene Stansberry. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 23, 2023 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Pastor Marvin Martin officiating. Burial will be at the Sunset View Cemetery north of Moulton, Iowa. Visitation will begin at noon on Thursday, June 22, 2023 with the family present to greet friends from 5-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lois’ name to Bloomfield Main Street and the Dunnville Baptist Church.
