Rheta Garmon-Morgan

Rheta Garmon-Morgan, 63, of Bloomfield, Iowa passed away on September 21, 2021 at the Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield. She was born July 7, 1958 in Bloomfield to Raymond and Delilah Swindler Tripp. She graduated from Davis County High School and would continue her schooling years later, receiving a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy Counseling from Capella University. She married Stacey Garmon and they later divorced. She married Tracy Morgan on March 26, 2011 in Bloomfield. Rheta had many interests and hobbies throughout her life including; golfing, planting and taking care of her flowers, raising dogs, camping, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Green Bay Packers, and also enjoyed all things relating to Walt Disney. Rheta was a long-time member of the Bloomfield Country Club. Her good nature and smile will be missed by her family and her many friends. She is survived by her husband, Tracy Morgan of Bloomfield; four children, Jenni Roberts of Chariton, Iowa, Alissa (Joey) Swarts of Grimes, Iowa, Spencer (Jenn) Garmon of Moberly, Missouri, Tanner (Mackayla Overturf) Garmon of Bloomfield, Iowa; two step-children, Amber (Mike Steinbronn) White, Dillon (Hallie Kirby) Morgan both of Bloomfield; 15 grandchildren, Bostyn and Greenley Swarts, Gavin and Gracyn Garmon, Lucas and Isla Garmon, Easton and Mayci White, Corbyn, Theia, Kettner, and Dekkert Morgan, Alec, Marcus, and Joel Untrauer; mother, Delilah Morrow of Bloomfield; sister, Beth Marshall of Bloomfield; two brothers, David (Kayla) Tripp, Stuart (Marti) Morrow both of Ottumwa, Iowa; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Tripp; step-father, Don Morrow; and a sister, Sandra Lawrence. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield with Jeff Lawrence officiating. The funeral service will be live streamed on the Wagler Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be at the IOOF Cemetery in Bloomfield. Following burial, there will be a celebration of life get-together at the Bloomfield Country Club with food provided. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday with the family present to greet friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to her family.
